ONE DOME OR TWO?
One dome may be suitable for more intimate events of less than 100 people but depending on how you would like to layout the venue, we would recommend using two Domes and our stunning semi-transparent connection tunnel to make it a truly unique venue with the ultimate ‘wow’ factor. The two Domes will provide plenty of floor space for seating and a large party area for the evening. Take a look at our Floor Plans page, which will give you an idea of the layout we can offer and the capacity for each Dome. Alternatively, give us a call and we will be happy to advise you.
EVENT LOCATIONS, OUR VENUES AND DELIVERY
Our Domes are completely mobile and can be set up at any location that meets certain site criteria. We do not make any profit on the delivery, the charges will be based on the distance between your venue and our base in North Devon.
We have some beautiful venue sites to offer where we have established partnerships with the site, please see our venues page for full details and pictures. Alternatively, if you would like to have our Domes at a site of your choosing please take care of the following points:
- The site has good access ways for lorries and vans
- The site is not overly exposed to the elements and has no overhanging trees
- The ground has good drainage and is level
- There are suitable provisions for services such as water, power and lavatories
Please call us with any questions regarding the suitability of your site. We will visit every site before going ahead with a booking and are happy to do this for free and without any obligation prior to the booking.
GROUND SPACE REQUIREMENTS
Each Single Dome is 13 metres in diameter and the Double dome with connection tunnel is 28 metres long. You will need a minimum of 5 metres around the Domes to ensure that we can facilitate the build of the Domes safely. The Domes can be set up on level earth or grass fields.
SUMMER WEDDINGS IN THE DOMES
Evenings in Summer can still get a little chilly so we would always recommend hiring heaters to keep your guests warm and comfortable. The entrances can be opened or closed to help make adjustments to the temperature.
WINTER WEDDINGS IN THE DOMES
The heaters within the Domes will ensure that your guests will be kept warm and cozy no matter what is going on outside. The Domes are completely weather proof and rain and wind aren't problems as long as the site isn't in risk of flooding. We would always recommend you choosing a site with good drainage and shelter or having a back up site ready as a contingency measure. If we can see the forecast as having exceptionally high chances of wind and rain we may change the build day to work around this or advise moving to a contingency site.
OPENINGS AND ENTRANCES
The Single Domes have 3 entrances/exits. The Double Dome has 5 in total, 2 on each Dome and there is also an entrance through the connection tunnel making it very easy for caterers, entertainment services and your guests to access the Domes. Caterers and other services can have a separate entrance to your guests and entrances can be closed during the evening to keep the Domes cozy and mitigate any weather conditions.
If we are not able to take power from a nearby building or static source, we are able to arrange the sub-hire of a generator for you if desired. If you would like to arrange your own power, this is also fine and we can give you advice on the requirements.
We can make recommendations for Caterers or if you would like to choose your own we will work with them to make sure they are aware of the facilities provided and their power needs etc are met.
We can recommend some excellent suppliers to you in the Devon and Cornwall area.
FURNITURE ACCESSORIES AND OTHER EQUIPMENT
We can supply our range of beautiful furniture to compliment the Domes perfectly including tables, seating, bars, dance floors and lighting. We aim to provide everything that you could need for the wedding to make the planning as easy and hassle free as possible. If you would like any additional help with the venue decoration we can recommend some highly reputable wedding planners/ stylists in the area.
FLOOR PLANS AND FURNITURE LAYOUTS
We have a range of floor plan designs for the Domes and are happy to work with you during the planning process to make sure we have the best layout planned for your day.
Our flooring is event standard Dandy Dura coco matting, with a membrane laid underneath.
ON SITE CAMPING
We can recommend some Bell tent suppliers if any of your guests would like to remain onsite during the celebrations.
We strongly recommend that you purchase event insurance from a reputable insurer to cover loss or accidental damage to our equipment, cancellation, injury to your guests, breakages etc so that you can enjoy your day knowing that there isn't anything that isn't covered.
We usually set up the Domes two days before your event and take them down one or two days after. We are happy to extend the hire period if required and will arrange the delivery dates and times when we finalise the booking with you.
MAKING A BOOKING
Once we have all the site details and you are happy with the quotation, we will send out an invoice for the deposit along with our terms and conditions. Once the invoice is paid and the signed Term and Conditions are returned we will confirm that the Domes have been secured for your date.
We realise that it can take a while to be sure of the number of guests attending your day so we are happy to adjust the number of tables and seating if possible up until two months before the event date where we will send out the final invoice.
FINAL BALANCE PAYMENT
We will send out our invoice approximately 2 months before your event date and ask that the funds are cleared 4 weeks before the event.
